Frequently Asked Questions

No. Registration into the program is complimentary as a CCA member.
Depending on your practice province, you may be eligible for continuing education (CE) credits. Please see the document titled: ‘Mentorship Activities Log’ under the ‘CCA Resources’ section on the mentoring platform. Regardless of province, you must fill out your own copy of the Mentorship Activities Log and it must be signed by both the mentor and mentee to be eligible for CE credit(s).
The CCA has set an algorithm to match mentors and mentees. Based on this, the mentoring platform will first match you with a mentor/mentee in your province, and then match based on any specialized skills identified by the mentor that are sought out by the mentee. Finally, the platform will consider whether you would like to conduct your mentorship hours in person or virtually. Due to the limitations of this program, we cannot guarantee every registrant will be matched nor can custom matches be accommodated.
Unfortunately, due to limitations of this program, once the platform has paired you with a mentor/mentee, we cannot accommodate any requests or match changes.
If you are a Mentee: As a first step, we recommend speaking with your mentor to respectfully discuss your concerns. Attempt to clarify your goals, how you wish to receive feedback, and what you hope to gain from the Mentorship Program. Remember, a good mentee is receptive to both positive and constructive feedback.

If you are a Mentor: As a first step, we recommend speaking with your mentee to respectfully discuss your mentoring approach. Attempt to understand your mentee’s goals, how they wish to receive feedback, and what they hope to gain from the Mentorship Program. Remember, a good mentor attempts to guide their mentee to reach their own goals and full potential, even if their practice style and goals are different than that of the mentor’s.

If you are unable to reconcile these professional differences, please email mentorship@chiropractic.ca to communicate your concerns and be removed from the CCA’s Mentorship Program.
Of course! We recommend connecting with your mentor/mentee to determine how you would like to stay connected.
Yes. You can drop out of the program at any time – please communicate and explain the circumstances to your mentor or mentee. Additionally, you must send an email to mentorship@chiropractic.ca to inform the CCA that you will no longer be participating in this program.
